Central Industrial Park is a 74 acre industrial development located on the previous site of the General Motors manufacturing facility. The original plant was demolished in 1986 and the site remained vacant for many years due to environmental concerns. Remediation activities were coordinated on the site to prepare it for new development. The park accommodates more than 1,000,000 SF of warehousing and light manufacturing facilities. BHC RHODES provided surveying, construction staking, mass grading, overall stormwater management, utility infrastructure and traffic circulation. The first building was a 70,000 SF manufacturing facility. The project had multiple stakeholders and an accelerated timeline along with an ever changing design process to meet the needs of the end user.MAP
