KCA/KDOT Excellence in Partnering Award

BHC RHODES was awarded the KCA/KDOT Excellence in Partnering Award for their work on the Riverfront Park Loop Road in Ft. Scott, KS.

This new public park was previously the site of a landfill. The existing soils were contaminated with an unacceptable amount of glass fragments which were replaced with new topsoil. The park also includes asphalt roadways, parking areas, horse trailer parking, walking trails, and the future installation of a historic pedestrian bridge to tie into the City’s park on the opposite side of the Marmaton River.
