When the City of Merriam set out to study how I-35 interacts with local intersections and the nearby railroad system, they needed roadway geometry they could trust, without putting crews in harm’s way or shutting down lanes. BHC helped the City capture high-resolution data safely by pairing UAV-based LiDAR for the corridor with terrestrial laser scanning in underpasses, minimizing traffic control needs while maintaining accuracy. The team delivered georeferenced point clouds, orthophotos, 3D surface maps, and supporting linework, giving engineers a clear base to move design development forward with confidence.
