98th & Pawnee Storm Sewer Repair

The City of Overland Park retained BHC RHODES to develop solutions to address the deterioration of existing storm sewer within a residential area. Existing issues included material failure of the pipe, a lack of system capacity to meet current standards, flooding in yards, narrow easements between homes, existing utilities and extensive landscaping and other encroachments near the current drainage system. BHC RHODES worked with the City to analyze the performance of the existing system and identified alternative solutions. We also engaged residents to address their concerns as we acquired construction easements and developed utility relocation strategies.
