Fiber to the Home (Emporia)

A new aerial fiber to the home (FTTH) network was to be constructed throughout the city of Emporia, KS to bring voice, video and high speed internet service to the 30,000 residents. BHC RHODES was selected to provide utility pole surveying, structural analysis and joint use for all aerial plant during the various phases of the project, which took 2 to 3 years to construct. BHC RHODES provided field crews to survey the poles and utilized pin tablets to collect the data and transmit it to the analysis software. Reports were then produced and submitted to the pole owner and customer for approval. In addition, BHC RHODES coordinated all joint use tasking and pole replacements with the customer and answered contractor questions as they arose.
