The OPH Mental Health facility is part of the Olathe Medical Park Campus. The facility will sit upon approximately 8 acres at the southwest corner of 153rd Street and OMC Parkway. The 60,100 SF facility will include 72 beds and four courtyards, providing short-term mental health treatment services to adolescents and adults. BHC provided surveying and civil site design which included site layout, grading, extension of public and private utilities, stormwater management, erosion control, evaluation of regional detention, and coordinated the environmental assessment. Site development included maximizing parking spaces, optimal vehicle and pedestrian access and circulation, optimizing site lines, and federal and state permitting. Provisions for future expansion were included.
