The Blue River Surgery Center is a freestanding outpatient surgery center in Kansas City, MO affiliated with HCA Midwest Health. BHC provided site design, grading, utilities, and stormwater management for the 20,000 SF ambulatory surgery center. The project included coordination with some existing features on the property, and accommodating stormwater management for the project.BHC provided landscape architecture, including planting design. Varying tree species line the street and parking to offer shade and seasonal interest. Shrubs and perennials are clustered at entries and main thoroughfares, complimenting flowering trees. Turf grass and wide-coverage ground-covers allow for easy maintenance of the rear portion of the site.
