Founded in 1992 by three ambitious, young entrepreneurs, our company was born with a dual purpose: to deliver top-notch engineering design solutions and to give back to our community while championing higher education. Bill Brungardt, Matt Brungardt, and Kevin Honomichl still lead the company today, keeping true to BHC’s values and commitment to excellence.

In the 90’s, our team thrived within the telecommunications industry, riding the internet tidal wave. Since then, we’ve seen it all. Our company has morphed with the innovations and technologies of the industry. Today, our Utilities Segment continues to be a leader in the telecom and broadband spaces, advocating for connectivity for all.

As the company grew, so did our services. We expanded into local municipal infrastructure projects with the addition of our Public Works Segment. We defined our site design services by establishing our Development Segment, specializing in retail and commercial site developments.

By 2005, BHC merged with Rhodes Surveying, a long-time and well respected land surveying firm in Kansas City. Rebranding as BHC RHODES, we grew our services exponentially and added value for our clients. We became the owner of the largest land records catalog in the greater Kansas City metro dating back to the 1800’s.

In 2022, we proudly unveiled our latest venture: a new office in Wichita, Kansas, strategically positioned to better serve our clients in the greater Wichita area. The next year, we welcomed Savoy Company, Wichita-based surveying firm deeply rooted in Kansas, into the BHC family. This strategic acquisition has not only propelled our growth but has also fortified our commitment to the Wichita region.

Fast forward to today, and BHC stands as a dynamic multidiscipline firm, offering a diverse array of services including civil engineering, land surveying, geospatial, and construction services. Our dedicated team of experts are engaged in delivering ‘No Problem’ customer service, catering to clients spanning across the United States.

BHC boasts a robust presence across five strategic locations: Overland Park, Kansas City, Wichita, El Dorado, and Kensington, each serving as a testament to our enduring dedication to excellence and client satisfaction.
