BHC employees spent their Saturday working their magic for one deserving family in the Kansas City community.

2021 marks the sixth annual Christmas In October event. BHC teamed up with the Paric Kansas City Office for another successful year of home improvements for a local family. In the best interest of the family and our volunteers, this year’s project focused on the exterior needs of the home. Each team showcased their expertise for design, construction, landscaping and having a good time.

The home was in need of an accessible entrance. The team designed and built a ramp that extended from the deck down to the back yard. This provided a safe access point from the family’s car to the house.

Next, the ground around the home’s foundation was in need of attention. Volunteers brought in dirt and gravel to build up the ground around exposed areas of the foundation. The new material was then graded away from the foundation to improve drainage and protect the foundation.

A little extra love was shown to the yard for added curb appeal.
