With Panasonic’s multi-billion-dollar electric vehicle battery manufacturing facility rising in De Soto, the City saw what was coming next: accelerated growth, larger service demands, and no room for guesswork in utility planning. To stay ahead of that development pressure, BHC is leading the design of a new gravity sewer and regional pump station for the Flint Commerce Center area. Working closely with the City and its consulting partners, our team evaluated ultimate sanitary sewer flows and long-term infrastructure needs, then translated that analysis into construction plans for targeted system improvements that will serve hundreds of acres. The result is added capacity and reliability that supports economic development while staying aligned with the City’s planning objectives.
