BHC provided shore-end landing and outside plant (OSP) cable design for the Transpacific Fiber-Optic Cable Project in Grover Beach, California. Project permitting and approvals included coordination with the City of Grover Beach, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), the California Coastal Commission, and the California State Lands Commission to successfully deliver the project on time and under budget. Design elements included two beach manholes, four 5-inch steel horizontal directionally drilled (HDD) conduits, and a beach grounding bed. OSP design extended from the beach manholes to a power feed equipment room located approximately 1-mile inland.
