John Knox Village is a 200+ acre Life Plan Community that provides multiple living options for seniors. The 90,000 SF project includes a building addition for 52 independent living apartments as part of an expansion of the Meadows Apartments. BHC provided site design, grading, utility design, and planting design for the project. This project transforms the outdoor areas of a senior living community into an inviting and usable space for residents, visitors, and staff. A central garden provides a place for gentle activity, quiet reflection, and social gatherings. Diverse plantings offer color, texture, and seasonal variety, while thoughtfully designed walkways and communal areas make movement around the site safe and effortless. Benches, lighting, and other amenities are carefully integrated to enhance comfort, encourage engagement, and support a lively, welcoming community atmosphere.
