The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) District 1, Area 3 office selected BHC to perform the construction inspection and materials testing for the repair of three separate bridges on Kansas Highway 192, which cross over Stranger and Dawson Creeks. BHC supplemented KDOT for the inspection under the KDOT On-Call contract. Staff inspected the replacement of the existing corral rails and the outside 3 FT of the bridge deck on all three bridges due to excessive concrete and steel deterioration. The project also consisted of deck patching, abutment patching, abutment drainage systems, the addition of bridge approaches, concrete overlay and a multi-polymer overlay.
