The City facilitated and provided a conceptual master plan for approximately 2,800 LF of Merriam Drive. Using this as a guiding tool, BHC’s civil and landscape team worked collaboratively to create a cohesive streetscape experience. Strategic placement of street trees and furnishings prioritized pedestrian comfort while maintaining clear sight lines. Conceptual gateway signage was designed to harmonize with community materials. BHC developed construction plans for redesigning drive lanes to optimize traffic flow, widened sidewalks, added raised crosswalks, updated street lighting, traffic signal improvements, added on-street parking and paving transitions were proposed to enhance pedestrian circulation and safety. Public spaces were enhancing for City functions and community events.Throughout the project, ongoing collaboration with all stakeholders ensured concerns were addressed, and community benefits were maximized.
