The 54,342 SF Shawnee Mission School District’s state-of-the-art aquatic center will provide a home for the district’s swimming programs to host meets with up to 500 competitors and 1,000 spectators. The arena includes a 50 meter, eight-lane competitive pool with a 12 1/2-foot-depth diving well, as well as a 25 yard pool with a movable floor which will be used for training and recreation activities. BHC provided civil engineering services including site design, grading, stormwater management and utilities. 

This project won a Citation Award from the American School & University.
