BHC provided survey, civil design services, and landscape architecture for four of the Saint Luke’s Community Hospitals. They are streamlined, state-of-the-art, fully licensed and accredited acute care hospitals that provide emergency, inpatient, and diagnostic services in convenient neighborhood locations. The facilities are 17,000 SF and include eight beds for inpatient care. The Shawnee facility has a bioretention basin that included a mixture of native grasses to aid in the filtration and treatment of stormwater as it enters the basin. The native grass species provide varying heights and seasonal hues for aesthetic interest.
