2019 Neighborhood Street Reconstruction Part 2

image description

Access was maintained to 94 residential homes and 1 apartment complex during construction of this reconstruction project. The project consisted of 12,147 SY of 7” concrete paving, 3,505 FT of sidewalks, 17 ADA ramps, 3 cul-de-sac’s, 3,345 FT of new storm sewers and 40 new storm structures. Included was a large upgraded storm system due to the flooding that took place in heavy rains prior to construction. Originally there were only 6 storm inlets on the low end of the project which were very overwhelmed during a rain event. Utilities were a large factor on this project with an entire new gas system and underground power for streetlights. Keeping the gas company informed of the status of the project was key for any additional relocations of the new storm sewers and roadways.
