Each year, the City of Merriam takes on a new neighborhood with a straightforward goal: keep streets, curbs, and sidewalks in good working order before small issues turn into bigger, more expensive fixes. For the 2025 work package, the City needed bid-ready documents that were accurate, clear, and fast enough to keep the annual program on schedule. As part of BHC’s on-call engineering services, our team partnered with City staff to assemble the bid package for asphalt mill and overlay work, curb replacement, and targeted sidewalk improvements. We also brought GIS to the field pairing a custom data collection form with GPS antennae to pinpoint replacement locations quickly and streamline project mapping and quantity development, giving the City a cleaner bid and a smoother path to construction.
