BHC was selected by the City of Edwardsville to complete the design, construction inspection, and materials testing of 98th Street from Kansas Avenue to the northern City limits. This KDOT funded 1.25 mile complete reconstruction project includes extensive grading operations to reduce the hills and valleys for sight distance improvements.The typical section will be a 32 FT B/C to B/C with a 10 FT multipurpose concrete trail on one side. The design speed will be 35 mph, posted 40 mph. BHC also worked on the study for this project, the final results of which will be used to develop future improvement programming, identify necessary funding and pro-actively acquire additional right-of-way as opportunities present themselves.
