When the team behind the Shawnee Mission Audi Dealership redeveloped a former hotel and motel site in Merriam, Kansas, they needed a clear path through a complex entitlement process. Three property owners and existing cross-parking and fire access agreements did not align with the new layout, requiring careful coordination. BHC provided site civil engineering and surveying, including an ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey, platting, and construction stakeout, and designed the five-acre dealership site and adjacent parking lot. The team also met greenfield-based detention requirements, coordinated right-of-way needs with KDOT, and worked with Johnson County Wastewater to align utilities and approvals.
