Children’s Mercy Park is an 18,500 seat, state-of-the-art soccer stadium, the first major league professional stadium in the state of Kansas. Located at Village West in Kansas City, Kansas, it is the home of Sporting Kansas City. The park, which includes a large outdoor plaza for various events, was also designed to be a concert venue. BHC teamed with Populous to assist with an ALTA/NSPS survey, on-site civil design, utility relocations and extensions, public improvements and local government approvals. We also completed a 3D laser scan of the roof structure. 

This project has won multiple awards: The Capstone Award from the Kansas City Business Journal, The Construction Management Award from the AGC of America, The Community Award from the The Stadium Business Awards, and the Venue of the Year from The Stadium Business Awards.
