BHC provided route engineering, route validation, utility coordination, and permitting support for a large-scale FTTx build across multiple U.S. markets. Design was completed in the client’s 3-GIS system, supported by field walkouts to validate route placement and constructibility. Utility data was collected and displayed on permit drawings from existing GIS data available and from field conditions. BHC successfully met aggressive project schedules, with over 560 miles permitted with multiple permitting entities, including DOTs and railroads and successfully produced construction and as-built drawings. BHC also provided pole field collection, space planning, loading analysis and pole applications to support the aerial routing for the different markets.
