BHC provided FTTx route engineering and permitting, route validation and utility coordination throughout the country for a large-scale telecommunication FTTx build. Design was completed in the client’s 3GIS system with field walkouts to validate the route placement. Utility data was collected and displayed on permit drawings from existing GIS data available and from field conditions. BHC successfully met aggressive project schedules, with over 560 miles permitted with multiple permitting entities, including DOTs and railroads, and successfully produced construction and as-built drawings. BHC also provided pole field collection, space planning, loading analysis, and pole applications to support the aerial routing for the different markets for the FTTx Route Engineering and Permitting project.
