BHC was selected by the City of Shawnee for the reconstruction of Nieman Road from Shawnee Mission Parkway to the south City Limits. The City intends to make several updates, including two miles of road improvement, widening, mill & overlay, repair of storm structures and sewer, ADA sidewalk ramps, sidewalks, curb & gutter, and driveways. Turn lanes were added to Nieman Road at 74th Street. BHC also assisted with the installation of new traffic signals and modifications to existing signals. BHC was selected by the City to also perform full-time construction inspection of these improvements, assuring contractor’s conformance to project plans and specifications.
