BHC provided site development, entitlement representation services, landscape architecture, utility design, and surveying services for the redevelopment of three acres in the Turner Neighborhood of Kansas City, KS. BHC met with project stakeholders and neighborhood members multiple times to develop a design for a 32-unit town home development that will provide new quality housing in the area. This project improves the outdoor spaces around a multifamily community, transforming them into vibrant and functional shared areas. Diverse, easy-care plantings provide year-round visual appeal while also helping manage stormwater. Connective walkways, pedestrian lighting, and well-placed site features create a safe and comfortable environment for residents and guests. The design focuses on walkability and daily convenience with shaded rest spots, marked crossings, and seamless links to nearby amenities. There’s a small park with well-placed seating. These enhancements enrich everyday life for residents and strengthen connections within the surrounding neighborhood.
