Renner Road, under Shawnee Mission Parkway, has a storm system that was installed by KDOT in 1970’s. Due to aging, inlets and pipes are in bad condition and were replaced. The gutter spread and inlet locations were evaluated along Renner Road to determine whether additional inlets are needed. Pipes to the east of Renner Road under the concrete embankment were lined using cured-in-place-piping (CIPP) to reduce the need for reconstruction of the embankment. Evaluation of a smooth walled, smaller diameter pipe was done to ensure adequate capacity of pipes. BHC provided construction inspection for the storm drainage improvements.
