The College Boulevard corridor is a major source of activity within Overland Park and has significant potential for improvement. The City performed a study to identify preferred options for improving pedestrian and bicycle mobility between Metcalf Avenue and Nall Avenue. This also included the addition of aesthetic and activity features to encourage non-vehicular use. As a key member of the original study team, BHC was selected by the City to lead the design efforts. Building on the study’s recommendations, BHC refined the proposed enhancements and developed final design plans and construction documents to initiate the first phase of improvements. The project will include linear park features, intersection improvements, traffic signal updates, roundabout reconfiguration, and new pedestrian walkways along and near the corridor.
