BHC, partnering with Landworks Studio, was selected by the City of Olathe to provide engineering design and surveying services to improve Prairie Center Park. Site improvements to the park include an approximately 185 space parking lot, two pickleball courts, 6-FT wide walking paths, playground expansion, ballfield drop off areas, and concourse replacements. In addition to these site improvements, BHC conducted hydrologic calculations for the proposed best management practice (BMP) areas. Plans also include a future two-lane, 21-FT wide roadway measures 0.4 miles and connects the existing baseball field parking lot with the proposed parking lot and Hedge Lane to the west. BHC also provided basemapping, possible concept alternatives, and cost estimates for the park improvement project.
