The Fort Scott Riverfront Park Loop Design project included access roads, walking trails and parking areas for a new riverfront park in Fort Scott. This project is nestled between the south bank of the Marmaton River and the historic Old Fort Scott site. This KDOT administered project consisted of 1-mile of paved trails, in addition to 3,400 LF of new access road through the wooded area along the river. BHC provided surveying, flood modeling and site design assistance for this project, in addition to providing construction inspection.

This project won the KCA/KDOT Excellence in Partnering Award.
