Grandview Main Street Revitalization

The City of Grandview completed a concept plan for improvements to nine blocks of Main Street from the existing downtown business district to Interstate 49. For the first four phases, BHC prepared construction plans for road, drainage, mill and overlay, streetscape, landscaping, lighting, parking, and traffic signal enhancements. The fifth phase extends similar street improvements to the west to serve the adjacent segment of downtown area and will provide access to the planned Farmers Market site. BHC’s tasks included coordination with the public, downtown business owners, Historic Preservation Council, and City officials to develop plans to enhance the aesthetics and character of Main Street. The traffic signals at the Grandview Road intersection were upgraded while matching the new pedestrian scale lighting.
