BHC provided shore-end landing and outside plant (OSP) cable design for the Manchester Cable Landing project. The design and permitting process was completed through Mendocino County, the California Department of Transportation, the California Coastal Commission and the California State Lands Commission to successfully deliver the project on time and under budget. This entailed the detailed design of the beach manhole, 4 – 5” steel horizontal directionally drill conduits and a beach grounding bed outside Manchester, CA. In addition to the shore-end design, BHC performed OSP designs from each beach manhole location to the power feed equipment room located approximately 1 mile from the beach manholes for the Manchester Cable Landing.
