BHC was the civil designer of 800 LF of Minnesota Avenue from 6th Street to 7th Street. This project focused on transforming the streetscape into a functional and attractive public space. Landscaping and irrigation was also installed as part of the project. Plantings selected for resilience and low maintenance add seasonal interest while improving stormwater management. Pedestrian-friendly sidewalks, lighting, and site furnishings create a safer and more comfortable environment for all users. The design balances aesthetics and practicality, supporting nearby businesses and enhancing the overall character of the corridor.All improvements will continue the revitalization of downtown Kansas City.
