The South Metro Fire District provides emergency services to southeast Kansas City’s suburban residents. The new 10,648 SF station will have three bays, a large workout facility, individual sleeping bunks, a sizable kitchen, and day room for firefighters to decompress. Also included are a covered patio and an ICC-500 shelter. BHC services included support of site layout development, coordination with the overall master development of the Lake Winnebago area, and grading and stormwater management design.
