The City of Edwardsville selected BHC to design 4,000 FT of roadway improvements adjacent to the existing I-435 interchange. Street improvements included a widened roadway, improved the vertical profile of the road and reconstruction of several intersections to enhance safety for this KDOT administered contract. The City secured additional Surface Transportation Program (STP) funds to extend the project improvements to 102nd Street, lengthening the project to more than 5,000 FT of enhanced roadway. BHC provided construction inspection and materials testing services on behalf of the City and KDOT. Inspection staff coordinated with utility providers to adjust facilities and oversaw SWPPP inspections to comply with EPA requirements.
