Pawsperity is dedicated to reducing generational poverty in Kansas City. They train struggling parents to be pet groomers and salon managers at their state-certified grooming school in Kansas City. They also have a salon located in Lee’s Summit. The function of this facility provided a lot of unique challenges, including design of a turfed, outdoor play area. The lot is very flat, so we had to get really creative with our drainage strategies. The function of the parking lot changed dramatically from existing to proposed condition. Redesigning the lot in a very confined space was a challenge.
