BHC was selected by the City of Merriam to provide on-call engineering services as the City no longer employed a licensed engineer on staff. Since 2015, BHC has worked with City staff and officials on planning submittal reviews, capital project budgeting, funding applications, representing the City at area meetings, providing input on issues during construction, and performing design of individual projects on a task-order basis. One such task order entailed the repair of a failing gabion wall in the Quail Creek storm channel near Advent Health’s main campus. BHC performed field GPS data collection, including GIS analysis, plan production, and location of the existing structure and adjacent utilities (previous as-built drawings did not exist). With that data, BHC was able to help the City anticipate project challenges as they prepared for meetings with Advent Health and other property owners.
