On 18 acres in Prairie Village, Kansas, Mission Chateau set out to create a campus where seniors could live with independence and dignity, while having the right level of care close at hand. With more than 200 units planned across independent and assisted living, as well as memory care, the vision depended on getting the site right from day one, safe access, reliable utilities, and stormwater solutions that work in every season. BHC served as the engineering partner from early planning through final design, providing surveying and site layout, grading and drainage design, platting, utility extensions, and erosion and sediment control to help move the project from concept to a build-ready plan. The result is a thoughtfully designed mixed-use senior living and healthcare community with amenities that support everyday life, including an indoor greenhouse, a fitness center, and valet service.
