BHC supported Summit IG on a long haul route by providing specialized design and permitting support for multiple waterway crossings critical to overall network connectivity. The team coordinated with an environmental partner to meet regulatory requirements and secure environmental clearances for each crossing. BHC led civil permitting, including development and submittal of DOT permits for a multi-duct and vault system designed to meet VDOT standards. Given the complexity and sensitivity of the crossings, timing was critical. BHC aligned permit approvals with construction progress to keep clearances in place ahead of crews reaching each crossing location.
