Halo Village

The HALO (Helping Art Liberate Orphans) Foundation is building learning centers and homes for homeless and at-risk youth, ages 16 to 21, off Blue Parkway in southeast Kansas City. The development’s first phase will include 22 beds, split evenly among the boys and girls homes. Future phases across the 24-acre site could include a series of transitional living cabins for youth preparing to re-enter the community from the shelters. Between the boys home, girls home, and community building, we assisted with the design of 19,000 SF of facilities. BHC provided civil site design and surveying services including schematic site design, utility coordination, survey, public improvements, and stormwater design.
